Entrepreneurship Story: Assignment 3

Growing up, my father has always been the one to start businesses and partnerships with many people. To this day, I don’t know how many businesses he was apart of, it ranged from starting his own insurance company to selling and raising sheep at a farm in Colombia. The most successful business my father started was the one of selling insurance to families. He is what you call a “broker agent,” this is a person that sells insurance from all types of company’s like Geico, Progressive, Aetna, etc and helps the consumer choose the best option for their needs and financial ability. He sells life, healthy, auto, house, commercial auto insurance, and much more along with his 70 other agents that work under him. His company is called, Client Care insurance and it has been up and running for twelve years now. Two years ago they were #1 in sales, state-wide for Florida Blue. I look up to my father for all his hard work and dedication he put into making his company to what it is today.
The reason why I enrolled in ENT 3003 was because when I become a dentist, I want to start up my own practice. I am hoping this class can teach me to be more open to new ideas and be more out there in the world with an entrepreneur mindset.
